What if you read a rave for Blood Diva over in Persephone Magazine or on Opera Candy or on Bookmuse? Maybe that led you to look for it at your local book emporium. When you asked the clerk if she could order it for you, she didn’t close up the shop, let down her hair, take off her glasses and have sexytimes with you like Dorothy Malone totally did with Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep … (to read the rest, click “read more” on your right)

I’ve been writing and researching ezines and blogs, reaching out directly to ask for reviews. One big problem I’ve run into – a lot of places won’t even consider self-published books. Many of them used to review “indies” but stopped. The reasons were somewhat variable, ranging from no reason to lengthy explanations that usually hit on a few of the same issues – lack of quality control, overwhelming number of submissions and oh yeah – batshite crazy authors who go into stalker mode when they get less than stellar reviews.
But here are some things I hope people will say:
Blood Diva is the bestest book ever!
It’s like Dexter if Dexter were a female vampire who used to be a hooker.
Finally, vampire erotica for opera lovers!
I prefer this version of Violetta meets Germont to the original.
La Traviata with vampires!
Who doesn’t love a beautiful sociopath?
